About us

NAGI is the only national body of Geographers of the country and presently it has more than 2500 life-members. It was established in 1978 with its headquarter in Department of Geography, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. Every year the Association organizes Indian Geography Congress in different universities of India. Apart from Indian Geography Congress, the Association also organized International Geography Congress.

Annals of the National Association of Geographers, India
(ISSN: 0970-972X)
is a national  journal publishes on all matter concerning the study of geography and allied disciplines. The journal provides a medium for wide dissemination of original papers discussing various implications connected with geography from many points of view including international, political, environment, economic, social, medical, managerial, planning, scientific and engineering aspects.

National Association of Geographers, India (NAGI) has been collaborating with the Russian Geographical Society (RGS) since 2015. On the occassion of 175th Anniversary celebration of the Russian Geographical Society, NAGI-RGS had jointly floated a Quiz Contest to enhance your knowledge about Russian Geography on 18th August 2020.
